PART D: Each is worth 20.  I will stop each answer after reading after about 200 words (or about 2/3 rd’s of a fullscap paper.  (Did you know it’s actually called foolscap?)  Estimated time:  30 minutes.

 

1.                  If life in the broadest sense were to be considered more important than any one single organism’s life, which in general are more important: plants or animals?

 

2.                  Respond to the Letter to the Editor, “Trees not needed.”  Cite specific instances in this semester’s classes with relate most directly to this siutation.

 

3.                  In mechanistic terms, life is just  DNA creating molecules which in turn move electrons around.  Somewhere in there, we exist. From a mechanistic viewpoint, discuss the validity of this claim.
